The Hilde B Campus AI Challenge empowers students to design practical, survivor-centered AI technology for prevention, intervention, and support.

Eligibility & Participation
Undergraduate and graduate students from any discipline. Teams of 2–5 members encouraged.
Computer Science, Design, Social Work, Psychology, Public Policy, and more—diverse perspectives strengthen AI solutions.
No prior AI specialization required—just a commitment to positive change.
Submission Requirements
Three components make up a complete submission
1. AI Prototype
Interactive AI demo, machine learning model, or AI-powered prototype that shows your concept
2. Design Brief
1-page doc or slide that explains your survivor-centered AI approach and intended impact
3. Video Pitch
Optional 2-minute video that demonstrates the AI solution and its potential
Submission Deadline
Judging Criteria
Projects will be evaluated on four dimensions
Creative use of AI technology and novel approaches to solving problems
Solutions that prioritize survivor safety, privacy, and empowerment
Strong consideration for data protection and user safety
Scalability and potential for real-world implementation

While we offer modest recognition awards, this challenge is fundamentally about creating meaningful change for survivors of domestic violence through thoughtful AI innovation.
